The brief
Nikki needed someone experienced in digital marketing to figure out how she could improve her content, reach her audience and learn from her analytics. She primarily needed help with navigating social media, with some additional help with email marketing and her website. She really wanted to find out what was working for her and how she could focus her efforts in the right places. She felt unconfident and unsure of herself. She didn’t know what kind of help she needed, so I suggested a Marketing Analysis. Something she could use to guide her in the next steps of her digital marketing and increase her confidence.

The process
I got stuck into finding out how The Spark could improve and make an impact online, compiling the information into an easy-to-navigate slide deck. Focus was placed on social media, newsletter and website. I analysed the analytics of the Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts to see what content was working best and why, and what was working the least successfully and why. I created a persona of the target customer based on people already engaging with The Spark. This helped me to detail how content can be tailored towards the ideal audience. I analysed the customer journey and experience with each marketing platform to see how they could be improved. I explained all the basics of what Nikki was unsure of from how to schedule content, how to decide when to schedule to achieve the best reach and ways to improve the set up of her social media accounts. I broke down everything that could be done to improve into actionable items which clearly stated the action to be taken and the outcome it was hoped would be attained.
The outcome
Nikki was overjoyed with the Marketing Analysis I made for her. By listening to her worries and where she was most unconfident, I was able to tailor the outcome to her needs so that she felt as supported as she could moving forward. The slide deck was easy to read, avoiding unnecessary jargon that would confuse her. It explained why I made my suggestions with insights and analytics to back it up to increase her trust in trying new things. Her testimonial says it all, so scroll down to read it!
